Happy Friday Peeps!
Today, I must say, has been a very good day. For the first time, I got to help out with the styling for a shoot that's taking place tomorrow for one of Emerson's magazines - I honestly had such an amazing time, it's making me want to reconsider the major I've chosen.
So yeah.
We went on a clothing pull, and then took all the pieces we pulled, along with some of our models' clothes, and put together looks for the shoot taking place tomorrow.
It was so fun! I just really want things to stay like this - I'm so happy with the way things are going, I just want this feeling to last :)
Sincerely,
Olivia.

Weekly Check-in
Well hello there.
What an interesting week it has been here at Emerson!
I have to say, I finally feel like I'm finding my place here at school, and I actually ENJOY going to class - weird, huh?
In all honesty, I actually wish I had classes on more days (I know what you're thinking - this girl's nuts!), because the subject matter we are covering is on subjects I find interesting, and I don't mind doing the homework at all. I guess this is all a good thing, right?
Anyways, in between classes and homework, I've been getting involved with the fashion magazine on campus, as well as going to pre-screenings at the movie theatre that's right across the street from my school - how awesome/convenient is that?? It's great because I really don't mind seeing movies on my own, so sometimes if I'm just in the mood to watch a movie, I'll go over and do it.
So yeah, things are okay.
Homesickness ebbs and flows, but for the most part I'm starting to adjust and come into my own here, which is such a blessing.
I even seem to have found my voice on paper - my College Writing course is going suprisingly well!
Until next time,
Olivia.

How Netflix will be the death of Me
Me again.
So, it's friday. No classes, no meetings. Which means waking up (rather late, I might add), going to the gym, finding something to eat, and figuring out what I'm going to do with the rest of my day. A week ago I was bestowed the gift of Netflix by my parents, who thought that it would be a good thing to have while I'm in classes that require us to watch lots of movies, and for their own benefit too - Dad's in a play that he'll need to watch, so it seemed like a smart investment for the time being.
Seemed, being the opportune word.
Yeah, I'm just going to refer to Netflix as my personal black hole. I love watching films, movies, web series - the list goes on. And now I have the ultimate platform to view all of these on. Terrible waste of time is really what it is when I don't having anything to do. But, a really wonderful waste of time. I guess it'll just bee something I add to the friday roster, at least for the time being, when I have nothing more to do. Here's hoping I don't get completely sucked into it - although that conclusion seems already pretty inevitable!
Sincerely,
Olivia.

End of Week 2 - Has it been that long already??
Hello and Bonjour!
It's kind of crazy to look back and think that I've been on my own here in Boston for over two weeks now - time (thank goodness) seems to be on my side - I nice change of pace, if I do say so! Family weekend is 5 weeks from today, which is fun to think about. I'm trying really hard to not contact my family all the time, and it's been going well so far. I'm just trying to be my own person, but also stay connected with them. I've always been really close to my entire family - mom, dad, and sis - I think a lot of times these relationships can be taken for granted, but I don't for a second. Anyways, the latest struggle is to keep my mind focused on what I'm doing in the now, rather than let my thoughts wander to the fun that will be 5 weeks from now.
Anywho, I'll be keeping you posted on how that goes!
Sincerely,
Olivia.

Welcome!
SO.
HI.
Basically, I wanted to create this blog as a place for more of my random musings, awkward explanations, and just a place for all around remarks on the things that I observe everyday in life. I have a blog for fashion stuff, personal stuff, so what's better than one for stuff stuff (I'm sure that isn't grammatically correct in the slightest, but I don't really give a damn, Scarlett)??
My name's Olivia, I go to Emerson College in Boston, blah blah blah, so on and so forth. I suppose I'll mostly be talking about my thoughts on life and those living it (including myself), and sharing my opinions on current events, you are welcome to stick along for the ride, or press next and be taken to someone else's handiwork. I have come to the conclusion that it is about time I start writing for myself, and making a career for myself that I want, not one that's going to satisfy others.
Again, welcome.
I hope you enjoy my wondering ramblings, and who knows, maybe I'll grow as an artist from letting my mind wander thusly :)
Sincerely (because I've never met you and thus must use proper addressment (?) techniques),
Olivia.
